New technology has been developed to protect the patients and healthcare workers from coronavirus. Radiation shield Technologies Demron Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) suits have been launched which are enriched with thermal conductive properties.
By wearing the Demron CBRN suits the healthcare workers can be monitored for the onset of fever, as it is the first sign of disease. By lining the infection transportation chambers with Demron fabric, Monitoring and external cooling could be done for the infected patients. Dipl. Eng. Pavel Castulik who is CEO of Dekonta CBRN carried out the ongoing testing at the Research Center for Toxic Compounds in the Environment, Masaryk University, Czech Republic.
Demron is the world’s first CBRN fabric that is manufactured by RST and is the only instrument that can provide chemical, biological radiological and nuclear protection. It is also involved in monitoring the external temperature. The ability to release and dissipate the heat enables the Demron to monitor and manage the external temperature. For non-contact temperature sensing, infrared thermometers are installed in these CBRN suits. These thermometers can enable healthcare workers to monitor the temperature variations off and on.
Random readings for external temperature can be noted by health care professionals so that it can be helpful for the detection of early symptoms. While monitoring and transporting the infected patients, the suit proved to be meaningful for the health care workers as it can measure the non-contact temperature readings externally.
