Fruits and vegetables are the best sources of a healthy diet that benefit the human body in many different ways. Fruits and vegetables in the regular diet help to reduce obesity and maintain a healthy weight. Both contain natural vitamins and minerals that keep a body healthy and active. Together these are a part of a healthy and balanced diet and keep a man away from many health problems.

A new study suggests that some specific fruits and vegetables are the best source in lessening many menopause symptoms, especially apples. This study is published in “Menopause”, the journal of The North American Menopause Society (NAMS).

Generally, menopause-related symptoms are treatable with hormone therapy, as doctors say. Also, the researchers are working to find nonpharmacological treatment especially for those who can’t be treated with hormone therapy and the women who are living with certain risk factors. Many ongoing researches are working on those factors that can help to alleviate or prevent menopause symptoms.

World Health Organization (WHO) finds that in everyday life intake of fruits and vegetables in mandatory as this intake prevents a man from many serious health problems like cancer, heart disease, and stroke.

Some previous studies suggest that dietary factors can have a critical role in the production of estrogen, metabolism, and menopause symptoms also. Interestingly, the Mediterranean-style diet including fruits, cereals, vegetables, and nuts plays an important role in lessening the menopause symptoms and complaints.

Although all fruits and vegetables are a good source to keep a body healthy and active but green leafy vegetables, such as lettuce, spinach, Swiss chard, and mustard greens, are most strongly associated with decreased risk of cardiovascular disease.

Cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, bok choy, and kale; and citrus fruits such as oranges, lemons, limes, and grapefruit (and their juices) also makes important contributions in various health factors. Like the risks of coronary heart disease and stroke are lessened by using fruits and vegetables.

Researchers find that a few subgroups of products of the soil, fruits, and vegetables have a converse relationship with menopause side effects and a higher intake of different subgroups gave off an impression of being related to progressively urogenital issues.

Citrus fruits adversary affect urogenital scores comparing to some other different kinds of fruits. As dark yellow or green leafy vegetables are compared with other vegetables.

The medical director of the North American Menopause Society (NAMS), Dr. Stephanie Faubion, explains that the present study is an evidence study regarding the effects of fruits and vegetables on menopause symptoms. Whether fruits and vegetables lessen the menopause symptoms or not.

There is sufficient evidence to prove that a healthy diet means fruits and vegetables rich food that benefits the human body in many different ways. If the intake of fruits and vegetables is higher, the menopausal symptoms are fewer, as per this new study. But there is a need for more detailed experiments to know whether menopause symptoms are affected by dietary choices or not.
