Dr. Fauci Says that the End of Coronavirus Pandemic is Inconclusive

In a recent interview with the executives of biotechnology, Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, a prominent infectious disease specialist, has shown his perturbing concerns over the disastrous outcomes of Covid-19. He said that within four months, this deadly disease has spread all over the world and there is no end of coronavirus pandemic soon.

Dr. Fausi, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said that he has always feared about coronavirus as a worst-case scenario. Covid-19 is an infectious disease developing mild to moderate illness and even causes death in critical cases.

Despite the fact, he knew that some kind of epidemic may occur someday across the globe but he was not aware of the fact it could spread that swiftly. Within a few months, it has contracted more than seven million people worldwide.

And the reason for the rapid increase in the number of Covid-19 patients is it is transmitted from person to person, usually after close contact with an infected patient. Seeing such prevailing conditions, one can easily assume there is no end of coronavirus pandemic soon He delivered all his analyses in a meeting arranged by the Biotechnology Innovation Organization.

Although there is no such cure discovered for Covid-19 patients yet, experts believe that vaccines could be the only solution to eradicate this disease or at least slowing down its spread. Dr. Fauci is of the same opinion. According to him, the end of coronavirus pandemic depends on its vaccine, and the vaccines of multiple companies are in the testing phase right now can.  Moreover, the last phase of some vaccines is in July.

Dr. Fauci specializes in H.I.V but he says the symptoms of coronavirus are much more complicated and worse than H.I.V. Nobody knows about it fully and how it attacks the body because of the variation of symptoms in humans.

Some Covid-19 patients don’t observe any symptoms. Many patients notice mild symptoms and recover on their own. However, some patients have acute problems, such as fatigue, trouble breathing, chills sometimes shaking, lung damage, loss of smell or taste, constant pain or pressure in the chest, and diarrhea.

Dr. Fauci said we are still at the initial stage of understanding this disease. Also, he was confused about whether the recovered Covid-19 patients would be as healthy as before.

He said that African Americans are more likely to contract this chronic disease due to the nature of their jobs as they can’t be performed remotely. Also because these people have higher rates of diseases like blood pressure, lung disease, and diabetes.

Consequently, Dr. Fauci proposes that the government should spend more resources in high populated African-American areas to stop the spread of coronavirus.

Numerous companies are trying to develop the vaccine of Covid-19. If any of them gets successful, the payments from nonprofit organizations and government regulated bodies would be necessary to ensure its access widely available. The companies would simply refuse to manufacture in case the United States government try to dictate them regarding price controls.

He said the US government should be more focused on collaborating with companies for the successful development of vaccines. And the vaccine should not be out of the reach of deserved people once it is prepared. Efforts are being made not only in the US but also in China and Europe as well for its successful development.
