A former model from Hampshire was diagnosed with Lyme disease when she was 18 years old. After living with this frustrating medical condition, Kelly Brooks, now 27 shares how CBD has helped her in Lyme disease recovery.

Lyme disease is an infection caused by ticks and its common symptoms include severe joints pain, headache, migraine, and fatigue. Kelly was diagnosed when she was only 18 and in the last ten years, she tried everything to get it treated but failed.

Reportedly, her medical condition caused her to quit modeling despite having a successful modeling career. After years of getting treatments, Kelly who is now living with her husband shared that CBD has surprise benefits in Lyme disease recovery. In one of her interviews, Kelly shares that she found it extremely hard to live with the excruciating pain and stiffness in joints. She tried everything to get rid of this pain but all the medicines and ointments failed. A friend recommended using CBD to her, and she found it a real-time help.

The results of using a CBD- infused cream were remarkable. Kelly reportedly used a cream on three of her most painful jaunts that were wrists, shoulders, and elbows. Soon she noticed huge progress in this recurring pain, and she thanks the CBD cream for it.

Although cannabis has a controversial status for the psychoactive results associated with it but the medical-grade products made from one active compound, cannabidiol from the cannabis plant are legal and approved for medical use.

Cannabidiol or CBD is an active ingredient in the cannabis plant but it is not associated with the intoxicating effects. The psychoactive effect of the cannabis plant is mainly associated with tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) but these medical-grade products don’t contain THC or contain a minimum amount of it, either way, there are no sedative effects.

Kelly was an active and healthy child who loved playing soccer. She never thought she will be caught with something that will change her life forever. Initially, her minor discomfort was diagnosed as sodium deficiency but when she was collapsed in her high school prom, she was diagnosed having Epstein Barr virus which typically causes glandular fever.

Soon after she was diagnosed, she was on bed rest. She was never able to dance or play soccer again and she often questioned herself; why her? Yet, Kelly was able to finish her schooling and got into the Fashion Institute of Technology, Manhattan.

But it opens a huge debate; is CBD really a helpful product during the Lyme disease recovery? Lyme disease is associated with a bug bite that transmits a bacterium to the human body. The common symptoms of Lyme disease are joint pains, fatigue, skin rashes, fever, and migraines.

Using CBD along with her medications has helped her overcome the symptoms of Lyme disease she urges people to try it for pain management. There is plenty of research suggesting the benefits of cannabis for pain and thousands of users report its pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory benefits. However, there is no study on CBD benefits during the Lyme disease recovery. With this case and dozens of others reporting the same, a clinical trial can reveal a better picture of the potential CBD benefits for Lyme disease patients.
